To start, launch the Google app and open Settings > Ok Google detection. Then toggle From any screen. Turn on the always-listening mode from the Google app. Next you’ll be prompted to say, “Ok Google” three times so the app can learn how your voice sounds.

Using nothing more than the device’s microphone, you can mutter the words “ok google” from a distance, and ok google will instantly launch and wait for your command.

Here are a few simple fixes you can try that should get the OK Google App working

Check your Language settings

This voice search only supports US English and it can’t understand any other language apart from it. So make sure that English (US) is set as the language in your Android phone.

Updating your language pack may also solve your problem. Go to Voice > Search Language Settings > Offline Speech Recognition >English (US) > Update Available.

It’s better to check the language settings first if Your Android “Ok Google” Not Working.

Check the microphone. If it can’t hear you, it can’t help you.
Re-train OK Google

In order to do this, you’ll need to go to the Google Settings App, locate the Search & Now option, followed by Voice then OK Google detection. Now just hit Retrain Voice Model and say “OK Google” three times, as you did when you initially set it up.

Remove Unwanted Background Process

If you keep various apps running in the background and try using this command then also this feature might not work properly. Especially when the background apps create noise the microphone gets confused between your voice and the background sound which results in no responses.
